It's raining...again.

Hello, from the not so sunny side of the pond.  It has rained almost every day since last week.  I love the rain.  I hate the rain and the wind.  And I hate the rain when I have no umbrella.  But I love the rain with an umbrella.  :)  Today, I had my umbrella  (my third umbrella in a month).  Note to everyone who comes here, poundland umbrellas, suck.  They are good in the rain, but do not stand a chance in the Scottish wind.

Yes, this is what mine looked like...And I got so many stares...And when I opened my mouth and Said I was on my second umbrella for the day...The locals laughed and I got a sense of, "Hahaha, silly American"

Oh well.

First off...I am dedicating this update to my new niece who was born today!  Welcome to the family Mattie.  And to her big Brother and Sister...  You two better take care of her.  ;)

Big sis blowing kisses to her (at the time future lil sis)

The brother laughing because he is now big brother

Welcome aboard, Mattie!

So, on for the update on Scotland.  I have this amazing friend.  And she has shown me the most amazing place to get lunch and coffe (And super cheap).  Its not bad food either, just don't get the creamy chicken bake.  LOL....Because neither of us could really tell what parts were chicken and it was funny.  But here are some of the views from the cafe:

(Go figure it was raining that day)

This is just one side of Dundee.  Next time when we go, I will take pictures from the other side.  In this cafe, with my friend, I have learned some British words, 'cuppa', 'trousers', 'brill', 'lovely', 'a cuppa char', and so many others.  But then I get to teach her, 'Ya'll', 'awesome', and 'booboo'.  The Language differences are odd.  I thought I would be coming into an English speaking country and instead it is almost like learning a second language.  So thank you my dear for keeping me going and for teaching me the in and outs of this odd little country.

I also had another British soda:

It was pretty good.  If you have a chance...look up on youtbe the commercial for Lilt!  It's hilarious!

I know I haven't updated for a while, but homesickness and my studies got the best of me.  I am now focusing on trying to find a dissertation topic and search for programs after this one.  Classes are going well and I am still loving the dissection the best.  Who would have thought, that this girl would like dissecting?  I remember sitting in Middle School biology refusing to dissect that frog  because it was wrong, gross, and by far the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.  And now?  I find peace.  A sense of happiness when I am in there.

Over all things are going well here.  I am enjoying Scotland.  I love the scenery, the classes, and my coffee time with my friend.  She and I also went to a talk on Shrunken Heads...Now that was awesome.  Can you tell we have alot in common?!

Next week I have the week off, which I am hoping to knock out my Anatomy essay, which thanks to Dr. Kwon at TWU it should be no problem.  I am loving how everything, my Biology, Genetics, Kinesiology, everything is playing a part in my studies.  This is the way it should be.  This is what it was meant to be.

Well, I am off to study for my test on Friday.  I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the updates.  I will try to update more frequently.

Cheers!
